Micro Transfer Printing (MTP) - Sr Process Engineer
As Senior Process Engineer, you will take full ownership of the micro transfer printing process within a high-tech photonics production environment. You will, together with the equipment engineer responsible for MTP, define equipment requirements, support procurement activities, lead tool and process installation, and ensure strong operational performance. You will work closely with upstream and downstream process owners to guarantee seamless integration and robust end-to‑end manufacturing flows.
Your Responsabilities
• Own and optimize the micro transfer printing (MTP) manufacturing process.
• Define equipment specifications and coordinate selection and procurement.
• Lead equipment installation, qualification, and process ramp-up.
• Monitor and improve process stability, cost, and operating performance.
• Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives, using a.o. 8D and FMEA techniques.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, specifications, and work instructions.
• Ensure strong alignment with related upstream and downstream processes.
• Collaborate closely with equipment engineering, R&D, operations, and quality teams.
* As a Process Engineer, you will also be on call in off hours for the processes under your responsibility.
Qualifications & Experience
• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering or a related field (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Materials, Photonics, Physics).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in semiconductor, photonics, micro-assembly, or advanced packaging environments.
• Strong hands-on process engineering background with statistical and analytical skills.
• Experience with high-precision manufacturing or microfabrication tools.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Working language: English. Knowledge of Duth is a strong pluspoint.
